Our iGlobe presents the candidates for the BrandEx Award
Summary of the first International Festival of Brand Experience
- 100 contributions, 15 stages, four languages -
On 15 January 2019 the international Festival of Brand Experience took place for the first time in Dortmund. Under the title "01: The Encounter" there were two keynote lounges and six theme areas with the names FUTURE, FRESH, 70s, INDUSTRIAL, NATURE and URBAN.ICOM Messebau supported the BrandEx Award participants with the iGlobe, a spherical event stand with the look of a globe and multimedia equipment. Here the informative image films of the BrandEx candidates were presented to the visitors of the award on large 50 inch screens.
Apart from the Main Stage and the Interactive Areas, the stages were operated in "Silent Talk" mode. Here the participants were able to follow over 100 gripping contributions such as "Event architecture and its function as a constructed meeting space" by Tanja Kizler/ Kunsthistorisches Institut der Universität Köln, "Encountering the women of the world" by photographer Mihaela Noroc or "radical, digital, magical" by designer and design researcher Nicholas Qyll together with Björn Sorge from Pro7. Many contributions were translated simultaneously and were then available in German, English, Spanish and French.
With many creative ideas, the International Festival of Brand Experience starts with the new BrandEX Award.
The first creative competition for successful live communication emerged from the merger of FAMAB AWARD, FAMAB TALENT AWARD, INA Award and BEA Award. The points system was used to evaluate and the Best oft the Best list and its ranking made it possible to make a qualitative comparison between the individual years of the award. Participation in the BrandEX Fresh was free of charge. Visitors could inform themselves about the award candidates in the multimedia iGlobe, which was the contact point before the award ceremony.

The many positive evaluations in connection with the great resonance met with the four BrandEx initiators BlachReport, fair Dortmund, FAMAB and study institute for communication on open ears. The second International Festival of Brand Experience was already announced on the following day of the event and is to take place on 14 January 2020 - again on the premises of Messe Westfalenhallen in Dortmund.
"The megaproject BrandEx was created as a joint effort of an entire industry," said a spokeswoman for the organisers. "This should remain so. That's why we're going to get together at short notice to review the many encounters and discussions and pick up momentum for 2020 in order to perhaps even surpass this great event once again". In particular, the desire for more "internationality" is right at the top of the agenda.
